
The conference was attended by members of the Senate, deputies of the Legislative Chamber, judges of the Constitutional Court, representatives of ministries and departments, scientific and educational institutions, non-governmental non-profit organizations and media workers.
At the beginning of the event, the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, recognizing the strengthening of the institutional foundations of the activities of the Ombudsman and the Children's Ombudsman in recent years and the granting of effective powers, emphasized the importance of further developing openness and transparency in the reliable protection of human rights and children's rights.
In particular, it was noted that child labor has been completely eliminated in Uzbekistan, this firm position has been consolidated at the Constitutional level, and this advanced experience has been recognized by the international community as a model for other countries, and it was emphasized that Uzbekistan has all the grounds for becoming a leading country in the field of human rights and children's interests.
In turn, the Children's Ombudsman, in his speech, emphasized that the goals, efforts and aspirations of the National Human Rights Institutions - the Ombudsman and the Children's Ombudsman - in protecting human freedom and dignity are always common.
At the end of the conference, the participants of the event made important proposals and recommendations on strengthening cooperation between state bodies and civil society institutions, and further improving legislation in this area.
